QCAD does not what HELP says

QCAD 2.2.2.0 lets me choose an image-file without giving a chance to specify an angle and a factor, as the HELP says it will do.

And the image is inserted allright, as long as it is not a .gif. What are the clues and constraints?

Iso-projections
From the ORIGINAL I made TOP, FRONT and SIDE (scaled down) "isometric projections", all shown here.

I obviously fail to understand the HELP-text on the subject.

X = 35.62 : yes I see that is the length of the smaller radius.

Y = -37.27 : what might that be ???

Drawing Preferences
The HELP shows an old version of the dialogue. But the real problem is that only the text height can be changed. All the other dimension cannot ! Would that be a bug ??

Creating my first model

In the middle: the HELP-tutorial to create a chair.

Left: the result of painfully executing steps1 to 4. The units are inches and the/my precision is 2 digits. Hence: 18.00,18.00.

Right: shows that I finally get a square (TOP-view) o [meer]
