© Alle rechten voorbehouden The first records we have of the Nyenhuis are from 1382, and it is a havesate, a fortified landowner's house. It was restored (again) in 2003-2004 and is open to the public now. Alas, we didn't have the time to view it. The Velner, which was the havesate of the landowners of our Duitlaar, was also such a place, but less grandiose, and no longer exists.
